Alaska Tribal Health System Components
Several committees/functions provide guidance at a statewide level and serve as a means for system participants to provide input and discussion. These functions are critical given the configuration of the Alaska Tribal Health System (ATHS) and the autonomy of each tribal organization Whether the committee/function reports to the ANTHC Board of Directors or the ANHB Tribal Health Directors, it is essential that the outcomes and progress be shared with the broader “system”. This serves to build alignment where these committees and functions can build upon each other, avoid duplication and make better use of time and resources. Statewide discussion, whether it leads to policy change or clinical/operational improvement, can be more informed, meaningful and intentional. |
