Rural Alaska Sanitation Coalition
The Rural Alaska Sanitation Coalition (RASC) was formed in 1993 as a subcommittee of the Association of Tribal Health Directors (ATHD) to serve as an advocate for rural Alaskan communities regarding sanitation and health issues. RASC is funded by the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) and program operations are managed by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC.) RASC is composed of representatives from each regional tribal health organization that designates a primary and an alternate member to the subcommittee. RASC holds four quarterly meetings throughout the year. The meetings serve as work sessions to focus on improving sanitation issues affecting the underserved rural communities of Alaska. |
