Sanitation Facilities Advisory Committee

 

According to their Operating Guidelines, the Sanitation Facilities Advisory Committee (SFAC) advises the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Board of Directors on sanitation facility issues affecting Alaska Natives. They also provide program and policy recommendations to the Board of Directors and feedback on the delivery of services to the Division of Environmental Health and Engineering and Facilities Appropriations Advsiory Board.

Strategic Objectives and Initiatives

 

The goals of the SFAC are to:

  • Promote, for Alaska Natives, the statewide availability of functional, safe, and well-maintained sanitation facilities.
  • Promote greater Alaska Native involvement in ownership of sanitation facility programs, activities, and repsonsibilities.
  • Recommend desired type and level of sanitation facilities and services (i.e. delivery performances and scoring methods).
  • Support development of long-range and comprehensive master plans that efficiently use available funding.
  • Provide information to National committees and organizations.
